Dr Sue Mitchell is the author of “The Authority Guide to Engaging your People” and specialises in mindset for success in work and your whole life. She is an experienced Executive Coach, the co-founder of the IDG Edinburgh Resilience Hub, a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association UK & Ireland (PSAUK&I), and Director of Aeona, a Leadership and Coaching consultancy. Her work focuses on a mindset approach to support you to raise resilience, engagement and wellbeing, navigate complex challenges and achieve more effective outcomes no matter what happens along the way.
Sue has led expeditions to remote parts of the world, sailed across the South Pacific Ocean, was a marine biologist and research scientist in Evolutionary Ecology, National Instructor with the British Sub Aqua Club and has been a member (and often leader) of many committees and boards including Regional President, Scotland of the PSAUK&I, the Edinburgh board of Women in Banking and Finance, Edinburgh branch of the Association for Coaching, the ExCo of Association of Scottish Business Women and Treasurer and Chair (consecutively) of Moorfoot Community Council, among others. Sue set up and led the Women in Sustainability Edinburgh Hub from 2019-2021.

Room layout preferences? Sue prefers cabaret layout to encourage audience discussion when feasible. However, discussion in pairs and threes is entirely possible in theatre layout for larger audiences. Sue will discuss options that will best suit your size of audience and the available venue to encourage audience interaction.
